President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić will meet today with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, during the second day of his visit to the country.

Vučić said yesterday that he would discuss the future with Xi Jinping, including new investments, infrastructure projects, and the further strengthening of cooperation in areas of key importance for the progress of Serbia and a better quality of life for its citizens.

Investment and the economy will be at the centre of the talks between Vučić and the leader of the world’s most powerful country, and 35 agreements are expected to be signed today.

China has already invested enormous sums in Serbia – as much as €7.8 billion – while companies from that country employ almost 40,000 people in Serbia across 37 companies.

Among the largest investors are Zijin Mining, with investments of €2.2 billion, and Zijin Copper, with €2.7 billion invested.

Other major investments include, among others, Linglong International Europe (€800 million), Minth Automotive Europe (€516 million), HBIS GROUP SERBIA IRON & STEEL (€166 million), and Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems (€137 million), among many others.
